# About Toronto Boiler Installation: 22 Years of TSSA-Licensed Hydronic Work Across Toronto and the GTA

We install, replace, and service boilers across Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Richmond Hill, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, and Oakville. Every technician holds a valid Ontario TSSA G1 or G2 gas certification. Every quote publishes the CAD figure before the work starts. We have been doing it the same way for 22 years.

Who We Are

## A Hydronics Company, Not a General Contractor

Boilers and hydronic heating are all we do. That focus matters more in Toronto than it would in most North American cities, because a very large share of the housing stock here was built around hot water distribution rather than ductwork. Riverdale, Leslieville, The Annex, Cabbagetown, High Park, The Kingsway: these are neighbourhoods full of cast iron column radiators that are still, mechanically, excellent.

What has changed is the boiler feeding them. Most were replaced once, usually in the 1990s, which puts a very large share of GTA equipment in the 25 to 35 year window right now. That is the work we do most: taking a system that still runs at 60 to 70 percent efficiency and retrofitting a 95%+ AFUE condensing unit onto the existing distribution with the mixing valve, outdoor reset, and return-water temperature protection that make the new boiler actually condense.

The other half of our work is newer. Vaughan, Brampton, Markham, and Richmond Hill subdivisions built from the 1990s onward run wall-mounted combi and condensing units with a 12 to 18 year service life, reaching end of life in waves because whole streets were finished in the same two-year window with identical equipment. Different diagnosis, different parts, same published CAD bands.

We are TSSA G1 and G2 licensed, HRAI contractor members, ESA compliant for electrical hookups, WSIB registered, and carry $2M commercial general liability insurance. We are an ENERGY STAR certified installer, which is what lets us file Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus and Canada Greener Homes Grant paperwork on your behalf rather than handing you a form and wishing you luck.

How We Work

## Three Things We Do Differently

**We publish the pricing.** Four CAD scope bands appear on the homepage and on every service page: diagnostic $99 to $249, standard repair $200 to $1,200, major repair $1,200 to $3,500, and full installation $3,500 to $20,000 depending on scope. Nothing is gated behind a form. You can decide whether to call before you speak to anyone.

**We put repair versus replace in writing.** Every diagnostic ends with a one-page comparison: repair cost against remaining service life, measured combustion efficiency, projected gas savings from a 95%+ AFUE unit, and the rebate offset. Roughly one call in five ends with us quoting the repair on a unit we could easily have argued for replacing.

**We size properly.** Every installation follows a Manual J heat load rather than matching the nameplate of the boiler being removed. Most older boilers were badly oversized, and matching them simply repeats the short cycling that wastes gas and wears ignition components.

Licensing and Compliance

## What You Should Be Able to Verify

Ontario requires TSSA G1 or G2 certification for gas boiler work, plus CSA B51 for pressure vessels above the residential threshold. Ask any contractor for the certificate number of the technician doing the work, and ask for the TSSA permit number on the completed job. We print both as standard.
