# Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

This policy explains how Toronto Boiler Installation collects, uses, and protects personal information when you contact us about boiler installation, replacement, repair, or maintenance across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. It is written to align with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

## 1\. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to quote and complete heating work:

- Name, phone number, and email address submitted through our contact form
- Property postal code and service address for dispatch and scope assessment
- Details you provide about your heating system, including boiler age, brand, symptoms, and the service you are requesting
- The page you were viewing when you submitted the form, used to route your enquiry to the right technician
- Confirmation that you own the property or are authorised to request work on it
- Service records including installation dates, equipment serial numbers, combustion readings, TSSA permit numbers, and warranty registrations
- Standard web analytics data such as pages visited, referring source, and device type

Payment is handled at the time of service. We do not store full payment card numbers on this website.

## 2\. How We Use Your Information

- Responding to quote requests and scheduling site assessments
- Dispatching a TSSA-licensed technician and confirming arrival windows across our service area
- Preparing written itemised quotes in Canadian dollars, including the repair-versus-replace comparison
- Filing rebate applications on your behalf with Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus and the Canada Greener Homes Grant, where you have asked us to do so
- Pulling TSSA permits and arranging inspections required by Ontario code
- Registering manufacturer warranties on installed equipment
- Maintaining service history so future work has accurate baseline readings
- Meeting record-keeping obligations under Ontario safety and consumer protection law

## 3\. Consent

By submitting our contact form you consent to us using the information you provide for the purposes listed above. You may withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time by contacting us through our

contact form

[/contact/ →](/contact/)

. Withdrawing consent does not affect records we are required to retain for safety, warranty, or regulatory purposes.

## 4\. Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where necessary:

- **Regulators and utilities.** The Technical Standards and Safety Authority for permits and inspections, and Enbridge Gas or Natural Resources Canada where you have asked us to file a rebate application on your behalf.
- **Equipment manufacturers.** For warranty registration and warranty claims on the equipment installed at your property.
- **Service providers.** Our lead-capture provider processes contact form submissions and forwards them to us. Our hosting and analytics providers process standard technical data.
- **Professional advisors and authorities.** Where required by Ontario or federal law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

## 5\. Data Security

We apply reasonable physical, organisational, and technical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorised access or disclosure. Form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it to perform or invoice the work.

## 6\. Data Retention

Enquiries that do not result in work are retained for a limited period and then deleted. Service and installation records are retained for the life of the equipment and for any period required by manufacturer warranty terms, Ontario safety regulation, and applicable limitation periods, because those records are what support a future warranty claim or inspection.

## 7\. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to:

- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw consent for non-essential communications
- Request deletion of information we are not legally required to keep
- Ask how your information has been used and to whom it has been disclosed

To make a request, use our

contact form

or call (647) 254-9788. We respond within 30 days.

## 8\. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when one is set. Refusing cookies does not prevent you from using the site or contacting us.

## 9\. Third-Party Links

Our pages reference external programs such as Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus, the Canada Greener Homes Grant, and equipment manufacturers. Those organisations operate their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.

## 10\. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here rather than communicated individually.
